Nice to see ASUS being funny to the pc haters.

No, I'm not saying that at all. You can pick up a PS3 with 3-4 games from Gamestop for $150 these days. I don't care what kind of magic you try to sell me, there is no PC that can compete with that for the same price, convenience, and quality.

You might be able to build a similar performance gaming rig for a similar price if you put in a lot of effort and track down insane deals on used PC hardware (which is already more sketch than just buying from Amazon/Gamestop, what most people would do).

Similarly, you could maybe build a similar quality PC to the same quality graphics as a PS4, but that is going to be very hard to do at the pricepoint of $350, and then there are other things to consider. For one, most people use a controller of some sort, even on PC these days for many games. Well, the PS4 comes with that, nobody ever counts things like that in for the price when parting out "console killer" cheap PC. What about the OS? Again, possible to circumvent the price if you're clever with PCs, but also immoral among other things.

And then, there is the simple fact that if you buy a console, you bring it home, plug it in, toss in a game, and you're good to go. If something breaks or goes wrong? Call Sony or call amazon/gamestop/walmart/etc. If your custom built gaming PC breaks and you don't know much about PC trouble shooting and fixing? Well, you built your own, you can't just call Dell.

If you still haven't got my point:

Graphics is not everything. Consoles are useful for many reasons, and it is acceptable given all of the other things they offer that they do not have the same quality graphics as much more expensive PCs. I have a kickass PC because I do know about computer hardware and I enjoy it as a hobby. However, I am absolutely shocked at how utterly absurdly dense people in this subreddit are about consoles.
