Nordie here. Why do you guys seem so pro-British and against the six counties rejoining as a proper nation this time (not a constituent). Is it just Dubliers?

Going to go off on a tangent here in response to you and the others who responded to you....

I am from the North (so I'm working in a contact centre ofc since I just graduated and have not used my degree yet) and deal with over 2,000 calls from British customers on average per month. Not once have I been given abuse, they never seem sure if I'm Scottish or Irish. Had one German girl call and tell me "well isn't that a beautiful Irish accent" - I found that weird that she knew it instantly. Get tonnes of compliments on my accent by men and women.

There's two guys from Dublin in my work place and one from Kerry, they get called Paddy fuck this and Mick bastard that, constant abuse. There are also Eastern Europeans here who get abuse so bad that one girl went to us crying.

There's no doubt in my mind who are viewed more favorably in Britain. The customer calling me always want to make sure my contact centre is in the the "UK" and not Ireland, but yet you kiss their ass from what I've read more than even the Unionists here do? I find it weird. I call it stockholm syndrome, I don't know. I also know you have a chip on your shoulder when someone calls you out on your pro-Britishness (you despise when someone call you a West Brit for instance haha, we don't use that term here from what I know).

I used to defend you guys. I know a guy from the Republic (Dublin) who was attacked and used to take the piss out of me calling me "British" when he knew I didn't like it. All a big joke to him till he ended up in hospital when visiting Belfast after coming across some Loyalists on a night out. This was couple years ago.

Just think it symbolizes a lot. Since I came across this massive amount of vitriol against people in the North I will tell you what I think of people from the South. You think you are funnier than you are, you are desperately seeking British approval, you seem like complete snobs, you whinge like nothing I've seen before (compare R/northernireland to r/ireland) and you think everyone likes Irish people when they don't (so when I see you think the world hilarious).
