Not every modern movie needs to focus on social media influencers. Most young people aren't actually like that.

Something ive enjoyed is watching movies and shows from the past and seeing the cultural stereotypes from their respective times. See the warriors as an example. Or car wash. Or clueless. Or the jeffersons. Or the big lebowski. Or blues brothers. Or revenge of the nerds. Or the matrix. Fat albert. Characters that are deeply a part of their time.

The social media people are ubiquitis. They are a part of today. We encounter the influencers without looking for them. We recognize their character type when we seem them on film. One day that subculture will be gone. Just like boy bands and parachute pants. Or souped up Honda civics. Theyre markers in time. Milestones.
