Now to think of it..Nobody could've done a better job than BTS at Love Yourself and Map of the soul albums

they're great lyricists and fit the concepts so well. i also admire how they commited so much with dna and bwl even though they're concepts directly opposite of the ones they debuted with, they commit with every concept but them being able to do such different stuff so well is a surprise, and i like that they don't seem to feel they're above those concepts. they love other genres and they love pop and being idols. it's hard to imagine other people pulling it off so well lyrically more than anything else. i'm not that familiar with jungian stuff but by what i read there could be other relations too, for example bwl reminds me of the concept of anima, it being expressed in the healthy ways, and doing a contrast with how they used to express it in other concepts. i think some people thought the songs were not related to the jungian concepts because during the press conferece they were asked if they read the book and rm said he didn't finish the book but learned the concepts through blogs. some people thought this meant they didn't follow the concepts, but academic books in general can be long and not always straight to the point, they probably read the about concepts directly. not that i care so much about it having to do with the concepts or not, but i see relations and i understand the kind of exploration this concept allowed them, even if jungian psychology is said to not be up to date or that accurate. they did a great map of their souls, i feel i understand many things about them thanks to this album. plus they revisit themes they left open in their careers and share their current mindset, for example suga reaches an agreement with his monster that wanted to shallow in the last, and j hope makes an agreement with his daydreams, and v who used to feel guilt and anguish towards his younger self in stigma now looks at him with sweet feelings and like a protective adult who gets strenght from him, and so on.
