They’re all part of the same racist patterns. If you start from the position that arrests are equally justified between races, then your point makes sense. But it’s pretty obvious that arrest rates are racist too.

I’m sure you’ll come back with stats on crimes being committed disproportionately by black folks, so of course arrests are justified, but I’m not interested in your sophistry. If you look at the entire system as a whole and the history of institutional racism across almost every part of our society, it’s completely obvious that the police are just another part of that machine. To deny it at this point is so fundamentally disconnected from reality that you might as well be arguing in favor of young earth creationism.
