Name: Yūrei Kikyo Age: 15 Sex: Female Location: Kyoto Bio: Born in a quiet neighborhood Yūrei was brought up in an “average” home life. Her mother was a well-liked heroine in town while her dad was a history professor at the local university. Growing up, since her mom was often busy with her hero work, she spent a lot of time with her dad. He would often tell watered down stories about ancient japan and the many battles and organization that took place during those time periods. Her favorite in particular was the famed Shinsengumi. As a result, combined with her mother hero work, she dreamed of becoming a hero that protects the peace. But when her quirk failed to manifest around the same time that the other kids in her pre-school class did she started to fear that her dream may never become a reality. Because her quirk hadn’t manifest any visible signs by then the other kids started to bully her since they thought she was “quirkless.” This all changed when her class took a trip to a museum. It was on that faithful day that the museum was broken into and everyone inside was taken hostage by a group of villains. When the police and heroes came to resolve the situation the group of villains decided to make a break for it but not without taking a hostage in case they get apprehended. While the other villains were making their escape one of them made a grab for one of her classmates. At that point she remembered her dream and pushed them out of the way, getting taken instead. After the villains were able to get away she was taken to an abandoned warehouse where the villains, now that the heroes weren’t on their tail anymore, decided to get rid of her. The one holding her threw her against the wall and but thankfully it wasn’t hard enough to outright kill her. It was, however, enough to crack her skull open and when she started to lose consciousness she screamed out for someone to help her. That was when her quirk manifest. When she came to she woke up in the hospital alone in a room with two strange beings waiting by her bedside. One was an elegant but freighting looking samurai while the other was an abnormally large wolf. At first she was confused and when she was about to ask them who they were a nurse came in to check on her. Noticing that she was awake the nurse did a quick once over on her before going to get a doctor. After a bit her parents came in with relieved faces while a doctor explained to her what had happened after she passed out. When she passed out her quirk manifested and, due to her father’s stories influence on her, the wolf and samurai that were staying by her beside came into being and violently defeated the villains. Once they were down they took her to the nearest hospital and she had been in an unconscious for the past five days due to her head injury. Once that was explained she went through a small period of physical and regular therapy due to the incident and made a full recovery. It was during that time that they would come to find out that she was unable to turn her quirk off due to some complication during the time she was unconscious and how overprotective her two “partners” were. After that nothing too exciting happened and she eventually applied and was excepted into the hero course at the famed Yuuei high school. Quirk: Spirit Companions A combination of her mom’s quirk to create a sentient figure to aid her in battle, think like Tokoyami’s dark shadow, and her father’s quirk to create solid structures out of energy, Yūrei quirk allows her to create two sentient spirit like beings. They take on the appearance of pitch black large wolf named Yomi, and an intimidating samurai named Hikari. Physically they are pretty solid but there is a constant spirit like quality to them since they are sort of like an extension of herself. As a result, they are overprotective of her and mother hen her often. Additionally, since they run on her energy combined with the fact that she can’t turn off her quirk due to the head injury she received, they will shrink down to 1/10th of their original size to make it easier on her so she doesn’t end up passing out. In that state they don’t affect her energy levels in any way. In their true state they can last for about 1-2 hrs each before any affect can be seen on her. It takes about an hr for her to rest enough for them to re-emerge back to their true state. Her quirk has a 100-meter limit. In combat they tend to rely on their physical strengths but because they are “energy” beings they can modify their bodies slightly. For Yomi he can make his body more durable and increase his size to that of a small car at the cost of his speed while Hikari can create extensions of his blade at the cost of his durability and stamina. When they do this their time limit is shorten to a few minutes (about 5 min max) before they’re forced to go into their alternative state.
Weakness: Any damage inflicted on them gets reflect back to her to a lesser degree and vice versa. So say one of them gets their arm burned, it would be reflected onto her in the form of an intense burning sensation that can cause her to lose focus depending on how severe it was. Also, if they take enough damage, they’ll be forced to revert back into their alternative state and are basically out of the battle till she’s able to replenish her strength. Since their energy consumption increases when they fight the time they can spend in their true state last for only 10-15 minutes each.
Intended Hero field: Crime Stopping Reason for being a hero: To protect the public from villain attacks so that no one else would have to go through the same experience she did.
