For real though, the cinematography has been fantastic in the last few episodes. Really outstanding camera work. Plus, Adam's voice acting got better. I'm digging the Kilgrave-ish obsessive sociopath angle they gave him. Granted, stabbing kōhai in the kidney isn't the best way to get her to notice you.
Ruby remembered she's the main character, and that's neat. I loved Torchic's villain monologue. I'm not even convinced that he's dead yet, but I'd be okay either way at this point.
I really hope this whole plot with Pyrrha inheriting the fall maiden's power wasn't for nothing. That could be an awful lot of wasted screentime. At least the death flags have gone away.
I'm super satisfied with Velvet (and I totally called her weapon, after the camera scene) being a freaking badass, and Weiss being able to summon that knight. Maybe a little disappointed that SSSN and Renora weren't doing anything massively interesting, but I suppose there's a limited amount of screentime.
The show got darker again. We maim characters now. Remember when the school bully was the main antagonist? I'm fine with Cardin getting token screentime just so we know they haven't forgotten about his team's existence, and it happened pretty close to how I wanted it to (Except where are RDL?)
...and what was Kevin doing this whole time?
I can't believe we only have one episode left to wrap up Oz vs Cinder and Beacon vs Kevin. I'm hoping they don't pull a Deus Ex CFVY on us like the Volume 2 finale, but with the other maidens. I like where the show is going though. Great episode!
