Official Q&A for Friday, October 16, 2020

Do any of you guys use the IAAF scoring system? In my case it feels a lot more accurate than what many predictor / comparison sites say. It's supposed to be really accurate and scientific based.

I'm asking because I ran a HM in January where it scored me 22, and I ran a M about a week ago where I got 47. The predicted 47 score for 5k is really close to where I think I am currently as well (21:50), while many other sites give times that I know are pretty easy for me (around 24:30).

To those that use it: can I expect similair speed of improvement in the future (in terms of IAAF score)? I assume thats the purpose of it, as a single point increase is supposedly as hard in the top scores, as in the lowest scores like in my case, be it 10s of seconds or a 10th of a second.
