You see a moderately intelligent guy with reach (height) dominance (social EQ) and a backing family of the same, you also see a genius guy who is short and no one knows his name. Who do you pick?

This is purposefully obtuse and an extreme dichotomy, I know the world is more in shades. However generic attraction is not based on the individual. Just research generic altruism to understand, it's based on most effective and efficient propogation of bundles of genes. That's why humans multiply so quickly, it's why we're the dominant species.

The hard truth of the matter is, you can't control your genes, and they're not individually logical. However, you need to stop thinking about the individual logic and think about ideal application for a species. We are attracted to certain things for excellent reason. This is why 80% of women love rough sex. It's built in. It's necessary. The dominant protects and can force provision if not provide himself.

It's not up for debate. Yeah you can formulate a better logical system for it but it's not in practice and without gene therapy, it will not change.
