My cousin is CHP, and did some work involving biker gangs a long time ago. His comment to me was that any biker with a lower rocker on their jacket that had a state on it (CA generally in our case), is likely to be affiliated with a group that is affiliated with the Hells Angels. And to keep clear of those MFers, because they mean business. He was saying that they had warrants out on a bunch of them, and one died in a bike accident. So CHP knew that all of the guys they had warrants on would be in a single location (the funeral). CHP didn’t touch a single one of them that day; did some recon on where they went to after, lived, hung out, etc. But zero arrests or citations the day of the funeral, because CHP was afraid (you read that right) of what the Hells Angels would do if they “disrespected” (his words) them during a funeral. Organized crime is a crazy thing.
