Ok my dm is removing the dnd from dnd, can you comment if you agree with me that he is being an ass?

TLDR - If your description is accurate, I would not play this campaign.

I could live with the shitty starting stats if there was a clearly stated narrative reason, and probably extra stat boosts beyond the standards.

The cantrip rule seems stupid as fuck.

Could deal with only 2 races (maybe 3 with half-elf), but once again, there needs to be a stated narrative purpose.

I'd be fine with 1 downside off a stupid list, but I'd want the chance to homebrew something character specific/background specific.

But Class is the biggest what the fuck? You want to limit? Fine. Everyone roll for initiative during session zero. Let's say you have 5 players, you have 6 or 7 classes, and it sucks to be the low roller with only 2 or 3 choices. But no agency in class choice kills such a core element of the game beyond all other rules he created/limited.

I'd definitely go with a "thanks but no thanks" if some of this wasn't addressed, explained, or changed.
