It’s not whataboutism, you just disagree. You’ve seen a handful of spam messages that make it past the spam filter, but how many iMessage users have seen spam iMessages ever? I’ve only ever seen SMS spam. However, RCS is very easy to abuse for spam. I’m unsure if this is a fundamental problem with RCS, or if it’s because it’s carrier dependent, or just an India problem, but it’s way too important to ignore. Again, I’m not saying Apple isn’t also withholding from RCS because of the ecosystem, but to imply it’s only because of that is just wrong. Attributing malice to something when it could be explained otherwise is not good logic.
