Only the privileged fear a robot revolution

I get your point but there is still a large difference between those who work everyday for a paycheck to turn that water on and those who probably have never washed the dishes in their life. There are different levels to being rich, for example the homeless in California are richer than the homeless in Somalia, but its just apples and oranges.

Though I agree that many of us are living very decent lives compared to others we still endure the struggle of maintaining our survival through the drudgery of what ever job we do, many of these people view their lives as being slaves to that job and debt, so they are only rich if they continue doing what they are told because the moment they stop doing that they will fall to the bottom of the ladder very quickly. The multi millionaires and billionaires do not have this fear having over them everyday, we can relate better to those living on the street to those living in the towers above us as the divide between us and them and is much greater. It will be far easier to bring the homeless up to our level or us down to theirs than it will to bring the mega rich down a few level.
