Out of the art for a while.

I did shoot and edit a lot of stuff for a while.

A) I learned back when we processed film by hand. It was $$$ and something I just couldn’t afford while raising kids and getting my wife through med school. B) my wife has ambitions that would pay for a lot more things, so I traded my trajectory for a better lifestyle.

I pursued digital art for a while and had a lot of fun making projects for family and family workplaces etc. It just kind of slowly faded out of my life raising 4 kids and having a physician wife who is busy as hell.

Would I still make the same choice if I could do it again? Hell yes. 25% of kids are sexually abused by the time they are 18. Public school education is abysmal. I get to sleep knowing my kids grew up safe, and the 3 adult children are extremely successful all making 6 figures by 24 years old.

If I knew I could make some money now that they are older, I’d probably jump back in, but I think it’s mostly a young persons game, especially with everyone being an arm chair filmmaker now.
