The outlook for the middle class is bad

If you worry about electricity bills you certainly are not middle class - sorry. With that salary you can claim deductions for health insurance etc. If you are within middle class you cannot do that.

I consider myself lower middle class. Wife and I make around 230-250k gross a year. Even that won't really help you much when you want a house or flat. Certainly not when you have one or more kids.

Having kids is financially speaking the most stupid thing you can do. KITA will kill you - we pay around CHF 1100 per month and the kiddo is there for 3 days a week. With two kids its around CHF 2000 per month.

Are you pessimistic? No not really. Truth is, if you haven't inherited money you won't get a house. Simple as that. Property prices will simply increase due to pension funds and other asset management companies such as Blackrock buying up everything they can for 10%+ market price.

But that's what Swiss people want. They do not want to tax companies and wealthy people appropriately.

Last but not least, if you belong to the Millenial or Gen Z generation. Just move abroad later on. You will get fucked by the AHV and pension Ponzi schemes.
