Here is one email that he had sent on Monday

Greetings to you! Just wrapping up my day. Actually I have another meeting at 4:30 but have a bit of time between and thought I would say hi to you. Last week was such a joy because my Mom and redacted came through town Sunday and left Tuesday morning. I can't believe they put 6000 miles on their car! Quite the road trip. (DH and I didn’t go to their house for this because I was depressed about my upcoming 30th bday without my mom) They drove through 20 states, and spent most of their time in Florida. MIL and I also volunteered at this cool ministry that (redacted church name) has on Tuesday evening. Our church actually has a warehouse of clothing and household supplies that are brand new, but like donated by stores that have over-stocks. so people from the community can come through and shop. We actually then shop with them and build a little bit of a relationship with the shoppers. The most interesting one was a couple that went to Florida for their honeymoon, but while there, their house in Minnesota burned down!! They had nothing! Luckily some family and friends have helped, but they were so appreciative going through our store and loading up a van full of goods. At the end we met with them in our prayer chapel and the husband was just overcome with tears. But tears of appreciation and a desire to get his life restarted in a new way. Now through good and bad things, he is starting a new relationship with his wife, finding a new place to live and a desire to start new with the Lord. Very exciting. We went up to ND for a quick trip to see SIL and BIL. We had so much fun together. BIL’s parents and his sister and her family were there too! We basically all hung out in SIL’s living room. The little kids were a source of entertainment. We played games and talked. Aunt came over to join in as well. BIL and SIL recently have zoned in on a church so we went there with them as well. We went early because the church was serving a free-will offering breakfast before church. It was actually very good! Now to this week! Not a whole lot going on, except we are gonna go up to the cabin for the weekend just to relax.
