Pay off student debt or buy condo?

It's not particularly relevant to my question but, sure.

I mentioned in my post that I have a job. And yes, one that cost me no small amount of money to train for over the better part of a decade. However, my sector now hires multiple part-timers (all of us with PhDs) for an average of 4 years before folks leave to whatever part of the globe where they've found a coveted full time position. I've now been working there for exactly 4 years (since I graduated).

Had I not moved back to my country (and to the little city where I grew up) to care for my dying father, I'd have used my extensive grad school network to land one of those by now. Instead, I took up the only placement available near my town and became a caregiver/part-timer. My husband is thus an immigrant who I met while in grad school abroad, so all of our savings initially went to setting ourselves up and processing his emigration. While caring for my father, he decided to go to school in a field much more conducive to actually making money than mine is at the moment. Up until now and until he finishes school in 2 years, I am supporting us and we remain stuck in this town, thousands of miles from most of my professional network.

As for the condo, I do want it. But I want to make a sensible financial plan that is likely to produce a stable future for my family even more. That would be why I'm here asking for information.
