Not one incident-many incidents. I'm new here for the record when I say 'trans person' I'm refering to a biological man.
In 2000 I was part of a really great feminist womens group (offline). We met, we laughed we supported each other. Predicably and nievely we agreed to let in a trans person, who then invited another trans person and another. They took over the group, the sexualized everything and one of them assaulted one of our members. It took approximately three fucking meetings for all this to happen. Even without the assault we'd had enough after two meetings. Aggression, selfcenteredness, grandstanding and that all too predicable fetishizing of traditionally perceived"female" things. You couldn't have a normal conversation with them it was fucking tedious and as annoying as hell. After we banned them from the group they started their own group which seemed to mainly be focused on getting re-entry to our group (seriously why bother to force yourself somewhere you're not wanted?) Don't answer that -I know why.
Later I ended up working with a trans person. In a social work type environment (yeah we were all about inclusion) Same old same old. It was a busy office-all of us male and female were trying to work. He was intent on 24/7 disruption of the 'look at me' variety. Then one day when the whole office was stressed and busand HE was obviously upset because of the lack of attention he climbed under the table into the fetal position.
HE claimed his rights as a woman were being ignored and HE was being discriminated against. Nobody was quite sure how as we never really got an explaination. Unless his "rights" as "a woman" were to be a fucking noisy attention seeking twat.
Obviously everyone had to stop work because the magic word "discrimination" was uttered. He was interviewed, we were all interviewed. The solution by legal was seen to be more gender diversity training (like we didn't know already) hours of work were lost, people were terrified of more accusations by him. He bullied the whole organization.
Eventually he lost his job because he exposed himself at a bus stop. What a fucking surprise.
I now cross the road to avoid trans people.
