I personally think threatening suicide is a harsh thing. I'd rather make them realise that the entire world doesn't revolve around them. I personally there needs to be a push in society to accept apathy in suicide because it feels like you're judged badly if you tell someone that the person who committed suicide when really, you're just someone who's living your own life with your own set of problems (probably inescapable problems too) and if you don't want to be seen as a heartless jerk, you over dramatize your feelings and write empty messages of support, may e even attend social movements to convince society you care (something I suspect people do subconsciously).
