I’ve been here 10 years but worked in other places before that. There are two massive arseholes here but they don’t work in this building and the guy who left today never even met them.

His direct supervisor is a nice guy but fairly old school and like to have a bit of banter and take the piss out of people. Nothing nasty, just if someone makes a fuss because they cut their finger he’ll spend the next couple of hours sarcastically offering them new plasters or to drive them to hospital. Tedious but not malicious.

I suspect he just decided it was too much work for the money he was being paid. He left an easier but slightly better paid job that was in a similar field to work here. His old place repeatedly promised to give him more training but never followed through. We were quite happy to train him but he’d been here two weeks and was already asking for a pay rise and back tracking on the hours he’d agreed to work.
