As it turns out, respect doesn't really have a meter on the political scale. However, liberals point of view do promote that respect whereas conservatives conflict and contradict a lot of live-and-let-live policy that some liberals might live.

There are racist liberals. There are transphobic liberals. There are the quiet people who just don't care, those are dangerous-- They don't have to care-- Then, there's the actual aggressive hate-groups. Which, in the United States, there is an unfortunate misunderstanding to the entire idea of sexuality and preconceptions about individuals who may happen to simply look through different lenses.

I dunno, man. Liberals abandoning their family if all is conservative, it's understandable. To a point. Like it or not, but a lot of the way we function as human beings in basic dialogue to one another depends on finite understanding and agreements that don't fall apart at a fundamental level.

There is quite a difference in fundamentals from the far right and the far left, extensively so.
