PM condemns hateful, 'toxic segments' of society after New Zealand shooting

The Liberals have been pushing for more gun control for a while now. NZ is an opportunity to double down on it. The events were tragic, used a firearm and Canada has been trying to restrict them further since JT has been in power (and almost every other Liberal leader).

This always gets people emotional and makes it easier to push for something that frankly isn't really a problem here. Nor is it in NZ but punishing the majority of people with bans and further restrictions (firearms are already heavily regulated in Canada) because of the acts of a few individuals is always wrong.

The shooter basically admitted he did this only to fuel division, gun control, racism etc... knowing the media would not be able to resist talking about it, all this to cause civil unrest. He even mentioned youtuber PewDiePie and somehow this youtuber received hate and weird news coverage associating him with this idiot. The music this fuckin low life used in his showcase was even banned on Spotify and other locations, because you know, it's somehow these artists' fault for this event?

The world is all kinds of fucked and we don't even have our priorities in the right place anyways.

They should honor the heroes who tried to act, and not submit to exactly what this piece of shit wanted. Media coverage of his ideas and intentions.
