Pole vaulter human popiscle.

This one pole I used a lot broke on meet day so me being the smart guy I was and wanting to beat this other guy decided to use a different brand pole that was larger than the one I was used to. I wasn't the strongest or best vaulter either

I practiced one jump, and it went alright. My friend who also used it said he wasn't going to go again, but I decided to go anyway. It was also a windy and semi rainy day and I absolutely suck at running into headwinds, so much that I give up all my form mid jump. On that jump, I ended up getting caught at the top from slowing down and giving up and the pole was bending like crazy and was holding on for my dear life but I let go and fell on the mat in front of my pole. I look forward and my pole whacks inward from bending and hits my my face really hard.

The pole proceeded to hit my coach in the head who was more angry that he got hit rather than the fact that blood was running down my face. Luckily it hit right above my eye. I needed 7 stitches that day and I had a black eye for like 2 weeks.
