Politifact Confirms Bernie Sanders' Healthcare Plan Will SAVE Every American Family $1,200/Year

We have to remind people that government works for them.

came here from /all and didn't realize you were serious.

I'm only 29. But at this point the government is a cartoon villain.

It can't be about reminding people. They have to be shown. I have to be shown.

This campaign is trying to "remind" people of something they have never believed: that government works for us.

I'm more a leftist than Bernie is. He has to not only convince me, but even younger people (something no candidate in modern history has done in numbers that compare to another demographic)

We have been at war my whole adult life, for some potential voters we have been at war for their entire memory.

Obama promised to close Gitmo and made it seem like he'd get out of wars that already defeated a country's whole government and military. He promised a lot of other things too, and they never happened either.

People don't give a shit about local politics because they feel their vote doesn't matter. They figure it matters a lot less on the presidential level and they're not wrong.

I live in Arkansas. We're not going (D) this year, no matter who runs.

I guess if the country elected Sanders, I'd believe he could win again next time around. That's sort of the core problem, though. He'll only be believable after he wins. And I don't know how Sanders will do in Florida or Virginia or Ohio, if the Republicans manage the reasonable maneuver of nominating Rubio.

I wrote all this and kind of don't know why. But I guess I'll submit the comment, because I wrote this hoping to add to the discussion.

I hope I'll be shown that the government works for me. As it is to me now, the government only exists when it wants to arrest me or take my money.
