Poll: 62 percent of Democrats and independents don't want Clinton to run again

No they just disenfranchised their own voters, rigged the primary debate schedule, at best walked the line of campaign finance laws, violated restrictions on polling place electioneering, and repeatedly and baselessly attacked a large chunk of their base to prop up a historically unpopular candidate.

Then they failed to campaign in swing states, offered no real vision for the future and depended on fear of Trump and on Hillary's win being inevitable. This was literally Hillary's race to lose, and she did, Hillarys campaign and the DNC being essentially one and the same. They may not have nominated him but they certainly rolled out the red carpet for him. If the Republicans had run nearly any other candidate they would have won the popular vote too.

Had Clinton offered any real vision or plans for America, had she even moved even slightly to the left. Had she licked Elizabeth Warren or Bernie for her running mate she would have crushed Trump. Instead she depended on a political playbook straight out of Johnson and Nixon in the 1960's.

She won't run again though, her political capital has all been spent. Her threats hold no real harm anymore, and her promises hold no weight. Barring a shitshow of a challenger DWS won't survivor her next election cycle, her meticulously built DNC leadership team is gone or on its way out, both nationally and on a state by state level. Her brand is tarnished and she doesn't have the time, and won't have the opportunity to rebuild it in any meaningful way before the next cycle. She'll wrote books that will sell a decent amount to her fans and those who want to blame anyone but her campaign for its loss. She'll give speeches (though for a much reduced fee) to colleges and wall street and fortune 500 companies. She'll do some philanthropy. She may even flirt with running again, but the numbers will never support it and she's not going to go out and lose in the primary again. She's done on the national level. Maybe she'll come back as a diplomat for the next dem administration, or as SoS. or perhaps as a SCoTUS justice. She doesn't have the pull or the power to make a successful run again.
