This poor bird has a badly broken leg. I called a rescue group, and an hour plus was spent trying to secure the bird for help. Then one impatient jerk on a motorcycle decided he shouldn't have to slow down for the traffic, and his engine spooked the bird away.

What I think is getting lost is if this was just a case of 'dude was on a motorcycle with no other cars in front of him and he rattled on by and that's what spooked off the bird' that sucks too but trust and believe I'm not getting 1/100th as pissed at that. That's a blameless situation, then you could say of course the guy didn't know what was up. But that isn't at all how it went down. The dude was ripping down a residential street, saw two vehicles in front of him, slowed down for a split second, then made a decision to gun it, pass both vehicles, blow past the whole deal .. even if you take the injured bird entirely out of the situation, it's still kind of a selfish dick move. The bird just makes it worse.

Five hours later… Texts between my girlfriend and her daughters best friends father. Convenience store worker wouldn’t accept this as payment. Why do people do this? Starbucks mobile app claims a 30 min wait. Employees claim a 2+ hour wait. Manager says corporate wont shut down mobile orders.
