[Possibly Final Update] We were in an accident yesterday. Wife's car is totaled. Woke up this morning with major neck, chest, side, and back pain.. Wife woke up with chest pain, neck pain, and massive bruises on her legs. Where do we go from here (other than the hospital?)

So, just wanted to apologize.

I'm not going to remove my other comment(s), people are free to see that I was being an asshole last night if they want. I'm not going to deny it or try to act like it didn't happen.

I was just a little stressed out to say the least, and I really shouldn't have taken it out on someone that was just trying to help.

Anyway, I met with our lawyer this afternoon and spent about 3 or 4 hours going over everything with him. I owe not only you, but the entire sub an apology.

He explained exactly why we should submit my wife's ER visit to her health insurance. He explained that we may not get more than $2,500 for the vehicle, but we will easily make a hell of a lot more than that on the back end for the personal injury claims. We are still going after loss of wages and loss of use for the property damage though.

He explained the whole "State Farm whining about storage fees" situation, and y'all were right about that as well. We are going to have the vehicle towed here until we settle on an offer and sign the title over and they come pick it up.

He set us up with a family doctor and a chiropractor that is willing to do our followup appointment and get paid on the back end, instead of paying $100 each out of pocket.

He told me to get an estimate for what it would cost to repair the vehicle since it did not have airbags. There is a chance we may be able to repair it and still come out ahead (buy it back from the insurance company and fix it and pocket the rest, etc)

He told me to get a copy of our Nationwide policy so he can check and make sure that we don't have Med Pay or something like that, because if we do, it is pretty much free money that we can't be punished for (raising rates, etc)

So yeah.. We have a lot to do tomorrow, and for the next few weeks.

Anyway.. again, just wanted to apologize for being a dick last night to people that were just trying to help. I shouldn't have taken it out on you guys.

Thanks again for everything along the way. I really do mean that.
