[Post Game Thread] The Utah Jazz (#5) defeat the Los Angeles Clippers (#4) 97-95 to take a 1-0 series lead

"Everytime Cleveland loses it's on LeBron. Everytime OKC loses it's on Russ. Everytime Houston loses it's on Harden. So how come when the Clippers lose it's not on CP?"

The person you're arguing with probably doesn't think this?

What you're essentially arguing is that superstars should be able to put up whatever stats they want every night, or at least they should be able to put up enough to win. But superstars take L's all the time, and worse, they face off against other superstars or better teams or both.

Just because a player puts up 25 doesn't mean that they could've put up 30 that night. After all, the shots they missed were probably intended to go down.

But I agree that CP3 is more than capable of putting up more than 26 points, but part of but he also had a ton of assists and steals to elevate his game, and you can't expect him to peak every single night (literally nobody does this.)

If Chris Paul had won this game (after all, Joe Johnson could easilly have missed his buzzer beater), would you still be making that argument? That he only put up 26 and should've done more? Obviously you'd still know that he's capable it.
