Former TLC star Josie Duggar made a rare appearance on social media this week, and while fans were happy to see her again, some expressed concerns about her health. They fear that the little girl may not be totally healthy, based on her appearance. Of course, it’s all speculation. And fans ultimately just hope she’s okay. So, what’s going on with Josie? Longtime Duggar fans may recall the youngest child’s scary, premature birth. She was born at just 25 1/2 weeks gestation and faced many complications at the beginning of her life. She spent six months in the NICU and dealt with numerous health issues, from a perforated bowel to seizures. Fortunately, despite her rocky start, she pulled through.
As far as fans know, Josie doesn’t have any lasting health effects. However, some suspect there could be details that her family hasn’t shared publicly. Others fear she may have undiagnosed and untreated health issues.
Right now, the whole Duggar family is keeping pretty quiet on social media. They share occasional posts, but some members have been silent for months. Josie’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, haven’t been posting on their Instagram page to update fans on their lives.
But recently, Jinger Vuolo visited Arkansas from California, and she shared several new family photos, including a few of Josie. You can see some of the snaps below.

After seeing the new photos of Josie Duggar circulating on social media, fans and critics took to Reddit to discuss the young girl’s appearance. They particularly noticed that Josie is much smaller than some of her sisters who are very close in age to her.
Josie is 13 years old, and her sisters standing right beside her are very close in age to her. Jordyn is 14 years old, Jennifer is 15 years old, and Johannah is 17 years old. Fans feel that the height differences are shocking. Some wonder if the height difference is simply because she was a preemie.
One fan speculated, “I think she probably has a plethora of health issues that have never been addressed.”
Another Reddit user mentioned another possible explanation and said, “Jordyn could be a taller sister like Jill or Jess’s. Josie could be shorter like Jana. To top it off, Jordyn could have had her puberty growth spurt.”
Hopefully, nothing serious is going on with Josie’s health. And if there is something wrong, fans are just hopeful that her family has it all under control.
