Right you can only hope that's what he meant but we don't know. It's a snapshot. That's basically my point, that none of us have any idea what this kid would be coming into except her. And if she has the means to give the kid a great loving home and wants to, it wouldn't necessarily be bad timing for her OR the kid. Kids who are truly wanted and raised by single parents especially those with means will likely be ok. That said if she stays with him and he's resentful toward the kid - that is another consequence.
