I probably made the worst life decision leaving my home country

Hey, Integration in Belgium at this time is really hard. The islamophobia is rampant and there's this general idea that they can't accept "every" refugee. Aside from that, there's a huge disdain for north-Africans so I can assume that you are either being labeled as North African or a Muslim, which comes with negative connotations in Belgium. Honestly, don't care about it at all. Foreign communities are very very very accepting. I don't know where exactly you live but I would consider moving to a city/region with big foreign communities, Brussels, Antwerp, Liege maybe? If you are Muslim, try finding a mosque nearby, you will make friends there, they will help you "integrate" better in society. If you are Christian, same for churches where foreigners go to. But it all depends on where you live, you just need to get familiar with the foreign(lots of Arab) communities. It is hard on your own, excruciating even. The weather, the coldness, the discrimination and anti-everything but you will get used to it. You will learn how to read Belgians better and you will learn how to notice the racist ones and separate them from the countless of Belgians who aren't. Oh, also, join a football club. No better way to make friends than that.
