To producers creating videos on YouTube: please do a "how to mix this piece of shit" cheap-equipment series

This is actually an interesting idea. I've gotten decent sound using a 2013 LG phone with AudioEvolution, and Caustic for the drum sequencer. Honestly, there are some awesome stylistic lo fi effects to be had from recording through a shitty set of headphones. If you can, find a way to get an RCA(audio/video) to 3.5mm jack, use the yellow for recording direct into your laptop or phone. Be sure to use the headphone output from your amp. You might need some adapter cables from 1/4 to RCA(male), or 3.5 to RCA(male), depending on what kind of headphone jack on your amp. This direct input greatly improves quality, granted, the headphone mic is your actual situation, lol. $10-15

If you want a major upgrade, They have focusrite audio interface, condenser mic(with stand/cable) kits. This is the second cheapest option to greatly improve your recordings. $220.
