Projecting the 53-man roster

For WRs, it should be Johnson/Patterson/Thielen at WR1 (Split-end) and Wallace/Wright/Diggs at WR2 (Flanker). Wallace is almost definitely going to be taking over Jennings' position, which was WR2. Johnson and Patterson were at WR1 and will likely stay there.

I think Pruitt and Ellison share the FB role and have their other TE responsibilities, as well. Could see Ford getting cut.

I have doubts that Newman will even make the 53-man roster, much less start over Waynes or Munnerlyn. Munnerlyn would probably still be classified as LCB. I think Diggs takes PR duties from Sherels, which makes him kind of a longshot to make the team. I think Sherels is out. Don't forget about Price - I think he'll make the team. Price should be behind Rhodes on the right. I think we keep a lot of DBs.

I doubt Mays makes the team over Exum. I see Sendejo and Harris competing for that final spot. Exum could even compete for the starting spot.

Doubtful Casey Matthews makes the team. I see Kendricks as more of a Will, but we'll see how that turns out. I think Watts still makes the team at Will. Mauti could get cut. Edmond Robinson (7th rounder this year) is a long shot to make it, but they may like his potential. He'll have to make it on special teams.

There's going to be good competition on the offensive line - not just for backup positions, but for starting spots. Clemmings could really improve and force himself into the starting lineup, especially if Kalil falters again. Yankey will be in competition with Berger and the late-round OLs we just drafted (Thompson and Shepherd), who are versatile enough to play Guard or Tackle. Ultimately, I think he wins the spot, though. Thompson and Shepherd are in competition with Wentworth, too. I think one of them beats him out and the other is put on the practice squad.
