The thing is this is such a vague statement it could mean anything.

Is /u/Sepean relating that he was a "Yes, Dear" type husband who bent over backwards to please his wife and never stood up for his own needs? Did he pedestalize (or dehumanize) her as some sweet perfect angel who could do no wrong?

Here's the thing, few people want to be slavishly obeyed or pedestalized in a relationship, it's confining and dehumanizing. Would you want a girlfriend who thought you walked on water? Think about the implications: your very humanity would be a disappointment to her, every wrong word or bad decision or disgusting belch or wandering eye from you would make her furious enough her write off all men as evil, nasty pigs the way RPers who got cheated on (or what have you) write off all women as hypergamous sluts and delinquent sub human scum. How dare you not be perfect when she expected you to be perfect? There will be anger at you for failing to match up to her idealized image of the perfect man.

Now imagine a sizable portion of the female population wants you to live and act on this tiny little pedestal of cramped humanity, always being their perfect angel savior who never looks at other women or says or does the wrong thing. It's kind of bullshit, right? You don't need trp to tell you being treated that way sucks, but OTOH TRP will tell you women like being treated like shit which is just as wrong as pedestalizing them. It will tell you men need to be stoic rocks or manliness which is pretty much taking women off the pedestal and putting men on it.

TL;DR a vague statement about your life isn't "debunkable", but you don't need TRP to tell you smothering, bending over backwards or pedestalizing her is bad for your relationship. You could search for these things online and come up with dozens if not hundreds of hits on why these things are bad, but only TRP will tell you women don't mentally mature, are scheming Machiavellian hypergamous and disloyal, can't love like men, are less rational, driven by their feels and once more, delinquent sub human scum.
