Queen Anne principal losing his job over unfinished teacher evaluations

An open letter to concerned parents and community members of QAE:

While the news of me being banned from this group came to no surprise to me, I was still saddened that the decision was made. I did not come into this group to cause uproar, nor to be incendiary or inflammatory. Honestly, I didn’t even speak up to change minds, as that would likely be futile. I simply came to let this group know that there IS another side to the story – a side that I, and others like me, have been living day in, day out for the past few years.

My hope in shedding light on the other side of the coin is that maybe some of you might consider how your actions are affecting those around you. Take for example the banners posted around the school or the pins that you are pushing people to wear to symbolize reinstating David. I beg you to think about how you are making those feel that do not believe in the cause, but are unable to speak up. It is difficult to come to school day after day and feel that people are projecting their beliefs on you and that there is nothing you can do about it other than play along. Consider the fact that your activism is having a direct impact on some teachers, and therefore a direct impact on your children’s education. I am not telling or even asking you to stop the activism, rather just asking you to consider its ramifications outside of the cause.

I apologize for any discomfort my post and replies yesterday may have caused. I will be deleting this account and will continue to sit on the sidelines of this group, as there is really no other way that I personally feel safe speaking out.

Thank you for your time, your consideration, and for caring as much as you do about our school.
