V5 changed the entire concept of elders and methuselahs to make then weak. In prior edition if a neonates ran into an enemy methuselah then it was game over no matter what. But the higher generations had the advantage of numbers and so the Jyhad could be played out as a war between the generations. V5 dumbed the whole things down and also practically got rid of most elders and I would think all methuselahs. It replaced the Jyhad proper with SI bullshit and dumbed down the setting.

I got into this game like many others because of VTMB and how much that video game brought the setting to life. V5 has destroyed or dumbed down most of that to the point where I don't even recognize most of the elements that drew me into it.

V5 ideally needs a full retcon. It's not impossible because other games like Cyberpunk have done it before for entire editions.
