Questions about jobs in the Caribbean?

I'll list to make it easier to read * What country are you from? You seem very reluctant to say... * I know they are small. I'm from a small town and like going to the beach, so I'm a little curious as to how it would be combining the small town with the beach * When I said just passing by or on purpose, I was meaning do a lot of people actually interact with each other in the community or are most people separated into cliques? In my small town you pretty much either wave to just about anyone, or you talk to a lot of people because you want to, not because you are being nice. Part of the small town here in America is waving/smiling at just about anyone. You also get into long conversations with people in public, because we aren't in hurries to get places for the most part. You go the gas station and a lot of times before you know it you've spent an hour talking at the gas station when all you were intending to do was get a snack. Whenever you're in public, you're likely to strike up a conversation with someone. I figured maybe it was like that since those islands have a small population, but since the culture is different I didn't know if it was the same there. *See here in a small town to get to know new people you probably are going to see them at church. I would rather meet people who like to interact in public instead of just at church. You pretty much get the same people at church. As in they all act the same way. Boring. I figured maybe there was local hangout spots or bars where you can meet different people. *I don't think I said anything about third world, but if I did I don't know why. I don't really think of the Caribbean as third world, just so you know. *I try hard not to stereotype, so if I talk to someone from the Carribean of course the whole island life stereotype is going to be in my mind, but that's not how I will talk to them. Instead I will ask them what that individuals life is like, because I want to see what different people do there.
*I totally understand what you mean about quality of living. It's all relative. Just because you have a smaller house has nothing to do with how well off you are. I live in a small house here in the States and am perfectly OK with living in one just like it anywhere else. Small houses don't bother me. *I kind of want to live on a smaller island because I think I need a culture change. It's just not for me here. Plus, my parents have been to 3 of the islands and they speak highly of it and have told me they think I would probably like it.
