/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Russian Invasion of Ukraine Day 9, Part 5 (Thread #103)

What does everybody think of the theory that I’ve seen circling here and there that Russia is deliberately screwing current situation up to get rid of their old equipment in storage, using young and untrained conscripts, and after exhausting Ukrainians, they’ll bring in their actual troops?

I have to admit that Russian inadequacy does seem a bit suspicious, but knowing also how corrupt Russia is, I wouldn’t put it past them that their military actually is in that bad of a shape.

Also - we know that US intelligence was spot on about Russia invasion of Ukraine. Wouldn’t US intelligence also be aware if Russia was getting rid of their old equipment first?
