The main thing is that if the genre is different, it's harder to compare because you might love both for entirely different reasons. This is worth doing in cases with strong thematic connections between the albums or cool things like the color idea someone proposed, or if the artists are all from the same age/scene but their music differs. But I feel like Annie Clark's music not only differs, she's also slightly older, and really isn't a millennial artist in quite the same way. She's more comparable to 2000s alt rock artists, and just happened to achieve success in the 2010s, whereas there is something uniquely 2010s (in slightly different ways) about FKA Twigs and Grimes... and Lorde, but I guess she was done already.

Maybe in the future, a good rate would be Melodrama v. Art Angels v. FKA Twigs LP2. In a way I feel like Visions would make more sense in a rate against LP1 or Pure Heroine, but maybe Visions was already done too. Is there a list of all the past rates? I have no idea what was already done or not.
