Razer is a terrible company.

Finally someone made this thread, I didn't want to make it as a mod of this sub so here's my Razer rant from having owned many of there products over the years.

My experience with Razer so far is very much based on who you get, other than Reddit there CS seems to be nonexistent. Here's a rundown of what I have learned while using their product over the past two years.

Razer Black Widow Chroma

Mushy key presses, the keycaps are horrible. The board is made of cheap plastic (changed in the latest model apparently to have a metal plate but...other manufactures have been doing this for years) The board takes a decent amount of power. The LEDS haven't failed but they're really weak compared to what's out there now. Razer mechanical switches are a joke. Any of the other branded switches are better. The actuation just feels weird and almost twice as heavy as blues switch's for the clicky version (I have blues as well on my wasd v2) In short, don't get this keyboard, it's terrible. It's something you would buy a kid which is where I believe Razer has brand popularity.

Razer Death Adder Chroma

Again, Mushy clicks, it's ergonomics feel amazing but sometimes I still find my hand slipping off the backside. Now that I am playing more seriously and games that rely on accuracy and not spam clicks (ala SCII..no offense guys) the mouse is just not cutting it. I'll flick and it just can't keep up or it'll jitter and apparently this isn't a problem localized to just one mice but many of them. It's simply not a high performance gaming mouse that it claims. The only reason I haven't switched to a different mouse is because I haven't yet researched into the new Zowie mice and have heard they just did a big recall. on switches.

Razer Firefly… It’s a mouse matt and probably the only razer product I actually like. That I have. I bought in hard into the whole RGB phenomena. I kinda regret it haha. It attracts figure prints and dirt like crazy so I’m having to take a rag to it pretty easily. The power of the Razer Cult is pretty strong.

Razer Naga 2014, This mouse is useless. I got it in thinking it would help with MMO’s and it’s great but now there’s alternatives with better build quality and despite this mouse being very comfy the fact that my hand is constantly moving around with it. The scroll wheel is terrible worse than the Death Adder Chroma. Recently I registered this product and select the wrong registration country, normally US based countries put USA first so it’s just automatic when you click first. Yep, this most is registered under a warranty status saying it was purchased in Afghanistan, Razer CS supports lovely response? We can’t change it. Just keep your Amazon receipt showing that it was purchased in the US. So this means that Razer has a horrible Warranty Registration system esp since you can’t change location.

In short, Razer focuses on Plastic Ergonomic that feel good but don’t function well, they’re a lot like apple in that way. The brand and brand synergy is more important than product functionality of them.
