Hey, you know, the thing is... animals are innocent. Humans do shit like take baby dolphins out of the ocean to take selfies with it, killing it in the process. Yeah, a granny trying to cross the road is pretty innocent (still, old people aren't exempt from being monsters when they were younger, not to say all old ladies were murderers or anything,) but not compared to my little Cupcake. I remember the last day I saw her, I was eating chicken nuggets and she was just looking up at me with her puppy dog eyes. We absolutely loved her, she was so cute and she provided all members of the family with happiness. If I had a bad day at school, I'd still say "at least I have my puppy at home." She had her spot across the road she liked to visit, I dunno what she always did there but she went there whenever I let her out. I should've been watching her, but I was young I wanted to play video games instead. I remember it viscerally, I was playing on my computer when my sister called me down, she was on the phone, probably telling my other sister what happened, she was bawling her eyes out. "Cupcakes gone, Jake, she's dead." My heart started beating faster and faster, and I went outside and when I saw her, just lying there on her side... I stopped breathing. My jerk of a dad made me bury her, I was only 14.... I haven't been the same ever since. I loved that dog. She was only 3 years old, man. So innocent. But when some douchebag old bitch gets grazed by a minivan I couldn't give a shit lmao
