The reason kids spend their days in front of a screen is because you've fucked up all alternative forms of entertainment

Some very hasty generalizations were made here but the point is kinda true. As a kid who did most their growing up in early 2000s, me and my neighbor had fun by biking around the whole area we lived, and going to the giant ditches down the road where they were doing construction, sliding into these super steep ditches, and climbing our way out like mountain climbers using handheld garden hoes. We went deep into the woods behind our houses and tried repelling up trees using jump ropes tied to hooks, we found a spot deep in the woods with a 10ft high tree branch that was super bouncy. we'd repel up the tree with our jump ropes then jump on the 10ft branch like a trampoline. Point is that if our parents had any real clue of what we were doing other than "playing outside" they wouldn't have been okay with us 4/5 year olds doing it alone
