Why Reddit? Why? ...a toast to the end!

"The sub"? Check again.

Now don't get me wrong, I may not have ever even visited the subs that are being banned but honestly the reasons for these bans under new regulations will unfortunately be the end of Reddit as we know it! This pains me greatly! I love this community for all its innovation and all it's underground/back door faults! It had always been a place for everyone and everyone's bullshit ideas no matter how ridiculous!!

If you take down one sub (whether you agree with that sub or not), you eventually take down ALL subs if they don't fit with the new corporate agenda!

Protect all subs! I don't give a damn if there's a race/gender/religion/ideal/fart/politics/angry/dumb/ignorant/helpful/anything sub out there! The internet should be free to discuss anything! If you don't like the sub, don't got there! Or DO go there and say your bit!

That's the point!

Everyone should be allowed to voice their opinion!

No matter how wrong or how right you and I may feel it is, we should all be behind the idea that every idea can be expressed!

Imagine this; let's take an idea and group of people most do not approve of. Let's talk about "suicide". If someone were to legitimately talk about wanting to kill themselves on a sub because of a particular reason but you, yourself, happen to be against suicide AND have happened to deal with this person's particular situation on a personal level in the past, should you not be allowed to give this opposing opinion that may save this person's life if they only thought about it from this perspective???

That's Reddit in a nutshell.

Everything should be open for discussion and everything may help the right person that needs it.

All I'm saying is, this new form of censorship and banning will be the downfall of the Reddit I grew to love and where do I go from here?
