I lived on the party floor of one of the party dorms on my campus freshman year (my older brother who went to the same school and lived on the same floor highly encouraged me to do so). The floor was really social, and crazy shit happened all the time and it was awesome (except for the times you really needed to study, you HAD to leave the building to do that). Backstory: I was kindof known for drunk crazy shenanigans and my friends on the floor were too, but I guess I was known as the instigator of the shenanigans.
Anyhoo this is one of my favorite stories: Weekend night, didn't know of anything going on in the dorm, girlfriend (who also lived on the same floor) was out of town, and a buddy of mine from my hometown who was several years older was throwing a kegger off campus so naturally I went to that. Came back really drunk to an empty dorm room and decided to play video games for a bit and then go to bed. I wondered where my roommates and crazy friends were because none of them were in their rooms.
Then my roommate walks in, very drunk and only wearing shorts, goes up to me, puts both hands on my shoulders, leans in, and with his face two inches from mine says, "Shlippen Shlide!" I say, "what?" He repeats, "SHLIPPEN SHLIDE!" and then runs out of the room. I go out into the hallway to follow.
My dumbass dormmates had went out and bought a bunch of dish soap and even more tarp and had proceeded to cover the 75 foot hallway first with tarp, and then layered a bunch of soap on top of that to create the largest drunken slip'n'slide I had ever seen. We had two RA's, one male and one female for our coed floor. The male RA had left for the weekend for vacation and the female RA had (mistakenly) chosen this particular night as the one night during the whole year to go out to bars and get drunk. We were unsupervised.
So the ten or so of us guys had a lot of drunken fun slipping and sliding in our dorm hallway, and then eventually I thought to myself, "OK this has been fun, but I'm going to be going to bed soon, so I'm going back to the dormroom to chill for a min then going to bed."
20 minutes later I hear a HUGE commotion out in the hallway so I go investigate. Literally hundreds, if not thousands of people apparently heard what my dormmates had done and showed up. You have not ever seen a bigger fire hazard in your life. Our hallway was PACKED with people wanting to slip and slide and all of them just ridiculously drunk. Dudes just wearing shorts and girls wearing bikinis everywhere. There was a small lane down the center for people to take off running to slide down the hall and literally every other square inch was just packed with drunken people having the time of their lives. I tried to get to the restroom down the hall to take a piss and it took 20 minutes for me to go the 20 feet with all the drunken shenanigans, people sliding into me, and all the beautiful half naked girls I had to stare at.
Eventually I started to sober up and thought to myself, "Alright I need to sleep, and this HAS to get broken up soon, so I'm going back to my room and going to bed." No sooner than I get under the sheets do I hear loud drunken screaming from our female RA who had just gotten back from the bars. Everyone scatters. The hallway empties, my dumbass freinds are yelled at to start to clean up, and I'm just lying in my bed thinking, "Haha, got off scott free."
And don't you know the next thing I hear is that female RA burst through my door (damn, forgot to lock it) and scream, "MONSIEUR MORREL, I KNOW YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS!" To which I reply, sheepishly, "What are you talking about? I'm just trying to sleep."
That was a fun night. The girlfriend was SOOO pissed she missed it.
