Retrospective: who was a fan of the Subban trade when it happened?

I was a big fan of Subban at first, but doubts crept in when he sat out a few games during his contract dispute. Campaigning for the captaincy by starting a hospital foundation named after him raised more doubts, because I know full well that all player contribute generously without making a big deal of it before the cameras. But hell you play hockey on the ice, not off it.

But then in 2015-16 Price got hurt and the wheels fell off with Subban leading the defense and the overall shit-show. Doubts crept in with his beautiful goal ruined by his bonehead chirping, a penalty, a scold from Gallagher to shut up and play, and Columbus powerplay goal that changed the momentum back for a Columbus win.

The next disgrace came in February, when Subban gave up on a play with an empty net and melkted down emotionally on the ref, getting kicked out on the game.

The final straw came for me in March when this showboating after a two-minute shift cost the Habs a goal against Winnipeg

So I liked the trade. I was really surprised that we got something good in return for him after this disgraceful play. Seriously, which team in the league wouldn't trade a player that behaved like this on the ice? I sometimes wonder if people who don't like the trade actually watched Subban play in the 2015-16 season to its sorry end.
