Because these climate talks and international organizations are being hosted in places like Bonn, Switzerland. No offense, I'm sure it is a lovely place but that is the point. The officials and representatives of wealthy nations should have their permanent offices moved so they are living it all around them

One of the major reason that Switzerland was chosen to be the headquarters for the UN was because it was relatively unscathed country surrounded by the bombed out remains from two world wars. Not because it was neutral, there were other neutral countries.

And screw the bureaucrats from wealthy countries. They aren't doing their jobs from their cushy offices. Previous generations preformed their jobs in the center of a post war hellscape, they are never going to get anything done unless they are really in the middle of it.
