It is really sad. A ball they were playing with went into the water. The went to get it with the kayak/canoe. The winds were really strong. I assume what looked like a simply thing to do became a situation where they were blown out. People do not realize the side of a kayak can catch the wind and blow it quickly. This is on the same creek where a few years ago we lost an entire family of grandparents and 4 grandkids in christmas tree fire that engulfed the water front house in minutes (kids were spending night with grandparents). I am sick to my stomach at the thought of this accident. I believe the father / husband saw it unfold. I can’t imagine.
