So just because we think the Senate will not convict Trump we shouldn’t even bother? That’s what McConnell wants everyone to think so Trump doesn’t get impeached. And it’s not all or nothing, all of those investigations are critical to this whole process. Trump is trying to delay the investigations until after the election and I think waiting to vote him out in an election he’s actively trying to not to protect is worse than trying to impeach him now. If we don’t impeach now and he wins 2020 what do we do? He would be “legitimized” at that point and even harder to get out of office. We can not expect him to lose 2020 and therefore need to take what actions we can now. If it’s not impeachment fine but we need to do something more than just investigate him for the years on end.
