Robocaller hit with record $120 million fine

Everyone is talking about their hatred for Telemarketers but let me tell you something. I was the best damn telemarketer you might have had the pleasure of talking to and here’s why:

I had just moved to California. Needed a job. Beggars can’t be choosers. Started working at Dominos and Sunlight Solar. Give you 2 guesses as to which had me come calling people, but you’ll only need 1.

This was my routine every single day; come in with a notebook, dial people, get hung up on, get told to die in a hole, have my existence on Earth questioned, you name it, I’ve endured it. But I still made my checks.

Now here is why I was the best. Everytime I got hung up on I sorted them into 2 categories. Rude? Oh we gonna call you again. Polite? Well got damn what a rare and enjoyable human being. Onto the Do Not Call list you go! I also wrote down their information and called them after office hours to apologize for bothering them about the solar business. I let them know my companies phone number, address and business code should they wish to complain about the calls and informed them about putting them on the DNC.

Everytime I got grateful people on the other line and every once and a while a few would even ask questions about me. Ended up meeting a guy who’d recently sold his tech business for lunch one day. He ended up sponsoring me to start a YouTube channel and Twitch stream. Ya never know what treating people with respect will getcha.

So before you complain about telemarketers I want you to remember that I preferred being verbally abused everyday than working FOR LESS MONEY at McDonalds.
