RTA

Yes they can. They can reduce downtown West bound to once an hour or so, and double on East bound towards downtown. And on the east side same thing but opposite directions. They constantly have transit police sitting on cars at the stops. Instead of that put them on the train and check tickets.

I don't know of the rapid did end up running late Sunday night for the crowds, but if it did it was a last minute thing. All day Sunday they said they weren't extending hours for the last departures.

They have thousands of customers at stop that checks payment and they say fuck it?

The rta needs to fail, and the city needs to step up and take control. This fucking publicly funded half private company Bullshit is the problem.

What if it wasn't a public service. What if it was a store. If target suddenly said we are raising prices across the board because we need to. People would stop going there. No one would defend them.

What the rta is currently doing isn't working. The answer isn't to just sit there and hope public funding comes. The answer is to adjust. The answer isn't to punish those that pay. Because a fair increase will make some think twice now for random small trips. It now cost $2 for my weekly trip to the market? Maybe I'll just go every other week now then. The answer is to stop the thieves that don't pay before you raise prices.

The point of times I see 2 transit police sitting in a car at the triskett stop is crazy. Put them on the train. Make people pay that aren't. Adjust schedules. Actually try to change for big events instead of thinking you can handle it. They need to do something instead of just waiting for public funds.

I'd rather they fail. If public funds are used it should be all public funds and it should be fully owned and operated by the city.
